I changed mine on our 110 utility SW for HD spring and made a big difference,. Gave about 1-1 1/2 lift. Only probs so far has been in 40+ heat when fully laden but that may be due to standard shocks, it then felt abit wallowy but better than standard. I run 265/75 tyres which don't rub.

Right just been on the phone to the dealers. They say as mine is a 09 one it should already have HD springs on. The only ones I can upgrade to are the 130's dbl spring on the back. He also said my fronts may have the normals on the front but more likely they are HD. I have to check what colour paint bands are on them but as I have been at it with the under seal gun like a man possessed I don't think they are now anything but black
Anyone heard this about the new 110's all being HD? |

My old 2001 Td5 110 CSW i usd to have, i changed the rear springs on that for HD ones.
It came (from the factory) with the brown/purple coloured RKB101111 springs, so i installed a pair of ex military 110 HD's (the ones with green/red) NRC6904, thinking "great, this'll give a bit of lift and help alleviate the lean with my roofrack" and the ride height was exactly the same, as was the height when i loaded it up, and also the handling was the same. So i summised that the RBK101111 must be the same as NRC6904, although the RBK is nearly twice the price (£62.81 vs. £36.64) as the NRC... maybe they're progressive? dunno, but like i say, seat of pants was exactly the same. my current 110 has the 130 inner springs, which give a little lift, but the handling is still nice and the axle travel still good. inner spring RRC3266 (x2) £52.35 each lower mounting LR018027 (x2) £26.19 each top cap RRC3352 (x2) £28.20 although i got the whole lot on ebay for about £20, so keep your eyes peeled, they turn up now and again. there was a load at the sorbury sortouts a few years back, on all the ex military stalls, so the MoD must have cast a job lot of them, so they're out there... |

It may well have been me that said in the original post about HD springs.
Having HD springs on the rear from factory will depend on the model eg: double cab etc. Fronts are ALWAYS standard springs, regardless. Get the rear springs from a double cab as they are HD (payload on d/c is 1 ton). You just need to go to your dealer and get a set of front HD springs if you already have rear HD springs. They are colour coded "white:white" from memory. I paid about £65 for my pair from the local LR dealer. As far as springs go, LR ones are pretty hard to beat, but it all comes down to getting someone to give you advice about which ones to go for. They will transform your ride and give you a small lift. I ran 285's on mine and it really makes it look great. I also ran 30mm spacers too. You wont have to worry about anything UJ wise. |

110 DC's use the brown/purple RKB101111 spring. (I just checked a load of 110 DC registrations on microCAT and they all came up using that spring) |

According to the dealers all the colour bands on the spings have changed. My direct question about putting DC spings was answed with "they are now the same as sw ones on 09's" . As far as I can see the hieght is the same as my 07 model. I will have another chat with them on Monday

I had the helper spring put into the rear on mine, will try and find the invoice. You do get a bong noise when you are off road when the springs are working hard and knocing against each other.
