Brand New Nissan Nivara V Defender 110 XS
Brand New Nissan Nivara V Defender 110 XS with 13k of hard miles.

As my D3 is in dry dock having a new front diff, rear diff seals and the auto box sorted. I have been given a hi spec Navara by Enterprise as a loaner.

OH MY GOD what a pile of crap. Took it to Nottingham and back today, dont ever want to drive it again.

It did have a few +s
Quiet
Good radio and bluetooth
Nice engine

-s
Appalling ride
Uncomfy seats
Very heavy tail gate

Although the engine was nice the ride was terrible, just got back and took the 110 for a drive to compare the two. Honestly the 110 felt like a Rolls Royce compared to the Nafara

True

My wife rent some time ago a 4x4 Navara for work in the forest and she have the same opinion.
She found it not safe in gravel/paved road (tail is moving around like a hell) and also doesnt perform good in off-road. Too low (she broken a bumper when she try to go in a normal road for the Defender).

Conclusion, she is doing all her "forest works" in the Defender

Cheers! Eduardo

My mate has (had) a Nivara for work. As a farrier he carries quite a bit of weight (c 6oo kg) of kit about. Although the Nivara is supposed to be able to handle a tonne, he inverted the rear leaf springs after a couple of months up and down the farm track. He put in an extra leaf and inverted that as well.

Not a serious business tool was his conclusion - good for site visits and 'light' workmen. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS

Being unfamiliar with the term "King of the Pikies" due to my geographical isolation I resorted to google and found this:

The world seems so much clearer now (if somewhat more politically incorrect). Laughing Mahn

I haven`t tried the Navara, but all of the rest jap trucks and they are excellent. No issues with: leaks in-out, clutch, clonks, steering, dust, sump, hard diesel knocking, name it......

But..... Puma 110" SW
