Not really a defender but i thought i might share it.
i bought a very early 90 525th off the line a few months back off ebay for 600 quid everything was in pretty good condition for the age only done 24,000 genuine miles couldn't believe it had tons of spares in the back and has had over a £1000 just spent on it but it needs a new engine as it has a cracked block but lucky had a 200tdi disco 1 donor in the back garden. Lovely, and a local registration!
But are you sure about it 525th? There are a lot out there on B plates |

Because I'm at work already, sadly!! The Land Rover internal systems only show the basics at that age, so VIN, despatch date, reg date, axle numbers and gearbox number. Over the years the details get recorded more completely so full build spec etc. Its very handy for checking exactly what options a vehicle was built with - ie late Range Rovers can be specced with certain wood colours that arent as desirable for resale. Useful to know if we're looking to buy a used vehicle "blind" |

Just checked my A reg 110, and a Y plate (old type) I used to have. They're too old so it may or may not work |
