Off to Tbilisi ( Georgia )
I'm flying to Tbilisi today sadly not taking the Defender but will be picked up and be using G wagon brabus and American Lincons . I have drove extensively with defender in Georgia and very friendly people all who are crazy car people . It's amazing country for travel and camp with the highest passes and mountains in Europe . Anyone who is thinking of caucus mountain travel or through Georgia then let me know . See you in 8 days . Keith .

Have a good trip Keith.

I will be passing through Georgia in June so will have to get hints and tips of places to go- I was looking to do the trip they did on the 'Worlds most dangerous roads' program. I will be entering from Turkey and then exiting through the port of Poti (to Ukraine).

Glyn, our company are active in Poti, a collegue of mine has quite a bit of experience with Batumi to Poti and Poti to Tbilisi roads, and seems in reality it is even worse than on the BBC special (I have seen that one too).
From Poti will you take a ferry to somewhere in Ukraine? Where exactly? I know Ukraine about inside/out, including quite a bit of road trips. Roads and safety, are only marginally better than Georgia I would say, I travelled there more than 1000 km still last week and roads there often are entirely destroyed by winter.... You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.
