Mophie and customer service
I always found American companies seem to have outstanding levels of customer service. Apple, Otterbox,Sonim and so on. MOPHIE the manufacturer of phone cases are the exception. I purchased a case for my iPhone 5 from their website direct from the US because the version is not available in the UK. Paid more than I really wanted on a credit card and was told it would be shipped on 25/02/2013. A week after the 25th I contacted them to see where the item was and was told they forgot to send it but it would go out immediately.Three days later UPS send an email to say they have it so it still took them three more days to send it. When it arrived on 14/03 UPS demanded a £30 surcharge. This was paid begrudgingly but I checked UK customs sit and found the import duty and vat should have been £11. The reason for the £30 charge was Mophie filled in the waybill wrongly and failed to state I had paid $9.99 carriage. I contacted mophie by email twice and both were ignored, when I did contact customer service via live chat they basically told me to off. They promised a refund of the carriage and claim to have refunded it to a cancelled card which I had made clear in an email, again the response was tough sort it yourself. Yes I totally agree but I calculated the duty and was fairly happy with it, the fact that Mophie failed to show the carriage on the waybill meant Customs levy a charge of their own. Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 hemi

You gents have to pay import VAT, etc. on such small amounts?
The Swiss are very peculiar about it, and each and every small package will go thru customs hands, but at least as long as the total value (including shipping cost) remains under 100 chf (70£), there is nothing due. Once you go over that value though, you get a hefty UPS or DHL bill with various surcharges on top of the VAT. You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |
