On my Freelander 2 you could disable the annoying seatbelt "chime" and just leave the warning light by pushing the start button & putting the seat belt in and out of the clip 10 times.
Is there a similar trick for the Defender TDCi? |

Mine's the same. No seat belt warning. I imagine there would be a bit of extra wiring for a warning indicator to function and mine doesn't have any to suggest it should. 2007 Defender 110

Thanks for the responses.
Glad to hear it...I'm picking mine up today (trading in my Freelander) and was thinking about what I had to do to remove any annoying features. probably my misinterpretation of the handbook! |

Mine has a constant but intermittent nagging reminder. I've noticed it only works when my wife is sat next to me. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS

Interestingly the "Shogun" is branded a "Pajero" in Aus. I think that means " " in Spanish so that's why European markets have a different name 2007 Defender 110 1970 Alfa Romeo 1750GTV |

It's only a shogun in the UK and maybe spain rest off europe it is a Pajero.
On/off topic. The seat belt switch off by putting the seatbelt in and out 9 times very quickly works also in a D3 and most Ford's but not the latest Focus.
