It does vary a bit but a station wagon is typically around 2040mm. Darren

Thats really helpful, thanks for the quick reply.
I think the lowest point I measured is 2030mm which is annoying! Perhaps some of the Alive Road Spec Comfort Spring might bring it down just enough. A shame really as I quite like the standard height! |

Some folks have fitted -1 inch springs to solve this problem but it's not a look for me, I'm afraid. Still, if it's the only way, needs must I guess. Darren

Is it a low ceiling height of the garage or are you talking about the opening assuming you have an up and over garage door.
In my case my TD5 90 HT with 265 tyres, two inch lift and roll cage stands at 6ft 10. I moved the door frame up as far as it would go, I then cut down the internal handle opening shaft, then re-tapped it to refit the triangle opening fitting then cut the top edge off of the fibreglass door covering as this was catching the lintel By a nats todger it goes in. With my last vehicle, 110 CSW, town inch lift and 33’s, internal/external cage it would go in easily. Once in and if you have a door to exit the garage it’s worth drilling a hole in the runner when the door is closed so you can add a padlock so if you are away for anytime so that the door cannot be forced open from the outside. As a separate note, I asked a garage door specialist to do this but they wanted plus £300 and for me to sign a disclaimer to do the work. Good luck |

You'll need a bit of extra height if you decide to reverse in.

Its a communal garage in an apartment building so I cant alter the openings. In most instances theres about 2060mm but at one point there is a pinch point where there's a structural column.
Looks like lower springs and potentially lower profile tyres might be the only option |

Would a 90 suit your purposes? My Td5 90 SW was 1.97m with everything standard.

The idea at the minute is to make a bed and some storage in the back. I thought about a roof tent on a 90 but then I'm full circle with it being too high again as I wouldn't be able to take it off as I don't have a place to store it.

Don't they only level the 110 at the rear? My 110 has the HD factory suspension and sits a fair bit higher than my chums stock 90. My front sits a bit higher with the HD factory springs from what I can see, my rear with the ifor canopy on is pretty high. |

They're available for both front and rear although I think some just fit the rears to make it 'level'. I've never really understood why to be honest, as to me it just looks like they're heavily loaded. Darren

On the right car I like the look of it, I can also understand it from an 'access' thing, I had to take my mini or the Forester into town when I 1st started dating my now wife as there would have been no chance of a 110 getting into her flats parking garage, if it was about an inch or so lower it could have cleared the roller door.

There's obviously a difference if it's needed to solve a particular local problem but I don't get doing it just for the look. Darren

Air suspension may also be an option to consider. Stuart
