How about setting up adverts on a charitable hospital radio station........selling arms? I packed in work last October (at the ripe old age of 56) after thirty-odd years in the building trade. Loving it, loafing about is easy once you get the hang of it. |

I have to work, but I work where I want. I haven't had to get a job that is a job ever. If I've been interested in something, I'll work there !!
It's not the best pay, it's a lifestyle. It's why I don't got a 130 yet though No f***s given. Well done Vera |

Good luck mate, I know how you feel and often wonder these days if it's worth all of the hassle. Well done for biting the bullet!

That everyone who works in (investment) banks gets one.. and they're always squillions pounds... Absolute tosh... The majority of us here work for salaries which are very much average for the IT Industry. And that's it.. no pay rise in 3years, nowt... Sorry... ranting now Alway got fed up being told that if I worked for a bank then I must be paid huge sums and massive bonus' Sadly not (I would however take em if they were offered ) Anyway... not got to worry about it anymore... in about 8 weeks I'll be able to reply "What do I do for a living? I'm an arms dealer" '09 SVX #200 '10 Morphy Richards.. I mean Prius |

Definitely the 'go bang' kind..... For a .22lr version, semi-auto, about £450-700 depending on the manufacturer and the exact model (the .22lrs aren't made by HK... but made under licence by Carl Walther or GSG amongst others). I have a HK416D in .22lr, and it's almost identical to it's big brother.. Deactivated or straight pull in the UK?? I doubt it very much. I've certainly never seen either. You could theoritically have one imported from the USA deactivated, but you're talking mega money. But, where there's a will (and sufficient money) there's always a way For a full on live firing mil-spec MP5, yeah.. right... not a snowball's chance in hell unless you carry a warrant card of some description.... But all of this is irrelevant unless you have a FAC.... Other than that it's an Airsoft replica in at least 50% 'bright' colours or join UKARA '09 SVX #200 '10 Morphy Richards.. I mean Prius |

I was kind of kidding. would love to have one but would end up staying up all night for scum to turn up and try to rob me would love to see their face as some lead come flying their way any how all the very best with your new adventures - as you've already said where there's a will there's a way. so I'm sure it'll work out well for you. |

My wife used to have a Korth 38, a High Standard 22 and a Webley Mk IV 45 (that’s a service pistol). She used to load her own ammunition. On the way back from the gun club always popped into a supermarket for a few bits. Rules said she couldn’t leave the weapons unattended so she took them in the shop with her. I almost wished they would ask her to “step this way madam” just for the look on their faces.
Of course Dunblane did it for guns in private ownership. Just revenge that was. Merlin |
