Perhaps I'm wrong. Haven't checked anything. It just makes sense to me.....smaller engine + same power = something is working harder than before. Not necessarily a bad thing though if it's designed for properly. |

Simple law of physics.... There is no replacement for displacement You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

Just phoned the dealers to book the 90 in for its first service and said to them, I think there is a recall on it for the turbo hose. The answer - there's nothing showing up on the system here but I will check. 5 mins later I get a call back - oh yes there is a recall on it.
I reckon it is a poor do when a total numpty like me who knows nothing about engines tells them there is a recall. Barbara |

I had to do the same and mines in as we speak having the pipes done under warranty , I did also warn them that nothing better go wrong as the truck was 100% fine before hand as I will be if something goes wrong due to a dealer mess

I see you are in Norfolk, can I ask what dealer you are using? Steve. Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades. Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW. [Insert something impressive here such as extensive list of previous Land Rovers or examples of your prestigeous and expensive items, trinkets, houses, bikes, vehicles etc] http://forums.lr4x4.com I used to be Miserable ...but now I'm ecstatic. |

had 2nd new pipe fitted today & vehicle made it all the way home ok, had a look under vehicle & seem too think that the steering joint possibly snatched the pipe towards the pulley ,hence cutting though it ,the pipe & joint are very close see how we get on in future. only 2 dealers in norfolk both begin with h, this one is in the west of the county & i will say that guy was very helpful & aplogised for inovenience caused lets hope this refit will be the last

Hi Folks, I've just picked up my new 2.2 and am somewhat disappointed to see this recall on turbopipe and software. Can anybody provide a pic of old type and or new type so i can see if they are being delivered with the upgrade already fitted? many thanks, John.
