Mine had about 58k on it when I sold it and it never took that long to go out, light always went off after two or three seconds and it started after two or three turns of the engine, even on cold days. It did chuck out a bit of blue smoke if it was a cold start on an icy day, or if I'd not used it for a few days.

73k and still on the originals, and as expected slower on freezing morning but still the same as when new 5 years ago.

First of all, if only one goes, you'll never notice ... must be more.
Second, it depends. I had one whole set broken after 15k (on a TD5), but I also had a 300er which made 300+k without any hazzle. Never forget: cars have owner, Landrover have field service personnel. |
