The good news is
That when my wife called me this morning and with the dash MIL on, she made it to work and I was able to check it this afternoon and found it WASN'T the EGR like I was thinking...
What did I pull? I mean code did I pull? P2562... The dreaded turbo code.
So long story short, cleared code, and drove around at all speeds with no problems... What are the chances that this will come back and bite me?
Cheers

I got turbo codes a few times with early remaps, but never had it since - probably because my turbo spends half its time "relaxing" (hanging off).

It never put the MIL on though, so certainly worth keeping a watchful eye on! Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...

Maybe I should have said dtc and not mil ...sounds like mil is much more serious 2008 Defender 110 60 year Edition (sold unfortunately)

Apologies if you know this but the orange MIL light only goes on when the ECU believes there is an actual failure (in some cases only after 3 consecutive failure reports, e.g. EGR failure. DTC codes often crop up here and there and many aren't serious (most people can't read them anyway). They're most useful "after the fact" when there is a failure and it needs diagnosing. Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
