Way over priced. Even by dealers standards IMO. I'd try and find a reliable trustworthy Indy and see what you get from that. Also use Genuine parts only is the best idea.

After using main for my first Defender (18 months old) I used independent from new on all of my new Defenders after that. They used LR parts and I never once had an issue when selling on Defenders or with warranty.
With Defenders, personally, I found our good local independent to be more comprehensive on a service and on checking everything over than main dealer, hence choice. Cheers Steve |

it might be worth getting quotes and asking for a price match if you want to use the main dealer, I will certainly be trying it on mine is coming up as well same senario, will certainly not be done at a main dealer when its 3 yrs old DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,
I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy |

Aye, It was the first quote I'd asked for. Obvs I'll get more.
I'm ringing back tomorrow to double check it... It was Land Rover in Hudders. Thanks for the advice all. |

I take it that was the main dealer then and not the Huddersfield Land Rover Centre? Have you signed up for Land Rover Allegiance? You can get between 10, 15 or 20% reduction in servicing costs. Edit to add - I joined through a main dealer by asking in person. Euro-Leafing to infinity and beyond..... |

It was the main dealer. Plucked at random from the 2 or 3 dealers near me. I will take a look at the allegiance link thanks. But I'm also going to call the Land Rover Centre, since I figure I need to use a local, independent from next year anyhow. Cheers |

took my own advice as mines due so I spoke to Stratstone and managed to get it down to £370 including VAT now booked in for the end of March
this along with my good insurance deal off quote me happy has got me smiling at the reasonable cost for defender ownership working it out the car will cost me about £1000 this year before diesel and depriciation. Is it worth £20 per week (without a doubt it is) DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS, I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy |
