It would certainly be amusing with a vehicle like this if there's a manufacturer recall notice and he takes it to a dealer for a fix. I had a Discovery 1 V8 on an M plate and I had a letter drop on the mat stating a recall on the fuel tank. I took it into Hereford Land Rover and they replaced the steel fuel tank for a new plastic one due to an issue with vent pipes or some such thing, the thing must have been 10 years old at the time. I bet the dealers loved that job You could imagine a technicians face having to do anything to that

What gets me is that at some point, this must have seemed like a brilliant idea.
Mind you, once you've thought "You know what? I *will* buy that Defender ..." I guess it's all up for grabs. 2009 110 XS Station Wagon |
