i live between keswick and newcastle so fairly up north, despite all the mountainous terrain / kielder and other forests i hardly know of any laning or events or clubs up here... yeah my uncle owns a farm and lets me trundle about on his land (secret logging track of his offers amazing views of derwentwater and is extreme fun in a defender) but would love to explore more, i mountain bike there pretty much all summer so know of a fair few places that would make great lanes but most are behind locked forestry commission gates (bar the coach road)
what else is there? any clubs ive been looking for off road play days etc and found somewhere called pea farm but no posts after 2009 about it.. cheers. |

i seem to be about the most useless person at discovering green lanes, we used to keep our boat at windermere, so often made the treck over, also spent a lot of time at amble side, dont know of any lanes but a few of the roads are serious fun in the snow... one of the passes that alludes my mind wow that was fun.
