Small Clanger how did you hear about the recall ? I bought mine in August '11 and this is the first I've heard about recalls Shocked
Glad to hear you've had no issues. Nor have I really apart from replacement windscreen wheelboxes (they were a bit 'clicky'). Maybe the guys at Lode Lane were so looking forward to their Summer break they assembled them properly during June/July 2011 Laughing

As soon as I'd ordered it, I registered on here and read some of the tales of woe so, to a certain extent, I was expecting problems.

That's the thing with forums. People with issues seek them out to get remedies, ammo for discussions with dealer/manufacturer or just to have a general moan about their woes. So as a whole you get a higher incidence of issues on a forum than you would if you took the whole Defender driving demographic. You get exactly the same dynamic on all makes of forums, just probably don't get the same keel of experience and knowledge as you do on an LR one.

Cheers

Steve

Off Topic Just out of interest, how do you rate the Jeep? (pictured in your gallery)

I've seen a few nicely prep'd ones recently but haven't managed to get the owners views on them yet...

Love the colour-coded snow cover SC. Looks great. And the HD rims with the MTs on really improve the look. Very good looking truck you have there! 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green
