Absolutely fair Bear100 nobody better than you know what is the best way to go, and i agree that first times help having someone to support you on where to go and how to deal with things.
as i said if i can help with something let me know Tubes63 we just say hi and that´s it really. amazing people, as you know, they have nothing and give you everithing they have. I´m pretty sure that this feeling of follow a line in the GPS from a to b and just change direction because there are a natural element like a river or so and not because you see a sign of private property it is just unbelievable. Greeni i need advice on some products i´ll call you. WelshSurferDude i didnt know wales and everybody said that is very nice, let see if the weather improves, if that ever happend to happen in the isle ![]() i´ll remove the pictures soon. |

Hi Bear
I haven't yet been to Morocco - we were planning to go in Oct 2012 but my wife's tummy got steadily bigger over a 9 month period so we had to put it on hold for a while! Of all the companies mentioned I only have personal experience of Atlas Overland. I have no affiliation with Atlas but have done one of their short trips and can honestly say that I have never felt safer or in better company. Pete Girling is the main fella running Atlas and he just has a really good approach to these things. His attention to detail in terms of planning, preparation and safety is superb, but he isn't a blood thirsty winch challenge type either - he is the kind of guy that believes in spending money on travelling rather than unnecessary shiney kit advertised in the mags and will always give good, well-considered advice. I too have heard that the LRO Adventure Club can be a bit gung-ho and set a really fast pace. I have also heard things about Trailmasters that would put me off going away with them. I don't have any experience of One Life but they sound pretty good and appear in the Rugged Guide DVDs. I know Atlas are used to having kids in the group - indeed I got chatting to Pete at the Donington 4x4 show and his record on a trip was a 4 month old, right the way up to someone in their late 70s I think. Give him a call and sound him out, I think you'll be impressed. My wife and I plan to travel with Atlas as soon as our little Land Rover addict is old enough! Hope that helps.
