URGENT UPDATE !!!!! Clutch switch and ECU's
2013 2.2tdci..... I have previously had a post about erratic ( got to watch how you say that ) engine speeds when changing gear, this is due to the operation of the clutch switch that tells the ecu when you are changing gear!

My new car holds its revs up at 1500/1750/2050rpm when doing this, but how does the ecu know which rev position to select ???????

I have had the pedal box for the accelerator pedal replaced due to excessive travel before the pedal actually functions....
This being replaced has helped the travel - slightly. However if you take your foot off the accelerator pedal whilst in gear then try and re-apply it you have a dead spot before the engine picks up any revs again ! this causes the car to surge.

Any clues .... Land Rover engineering and technical do not seem to think this is an issue.

If you are driving off road, and you hit a hole or an obsticle and have to take your foot off the gas then re-apply it with this problem you have almost no control over the accelerator and end up being catapulted where ever the car decides to take you ???????

LAND ROVER are now changing main ECU and Alarm ECU
