Australia 2013 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 CSW Keswick Green
Well that looks like a very sturdy, well made product, and I guess that if you "had to have one", it would be as good as it gets, but I still don't like the look of it!!...And, what about wind noise?
Regards, Pickles.

Each to their own Pickles but I love it. Reminds me of the old series look. Would buy and fit one tomorrow but the cost is prohibitive. I'd rather spend the money on security for now Sad

Ha ha, yeah, like you can hear that over the deafening noise in the cabin? Wink
Anyway, I've got a roof rack and lights whistling away to drown out the visor noise. (The lights are kind of why I'd quite like a visor too.)

Interesting that you guys talk a lot about "Security".
Well "touch wood" "Security" does not appear to be an issue for Defender owners in Aus...... There's so few of 'em!!
However, "Car Theft" certainly is an issue down under, ...but it's usually confined mainly to as well as normal family cars, V8 Commodores, Japanese turbos & the like, and of course when a Lambo or Ferrari gets knocked off, well that always makes the papers!
Pickles.

My previous TD4 came with said Vosca visor already fitted. The first owner had a transport company, and was used to them on his trucks. I grew to like it, very quickly. Both functionally and visually, I feel it adds to the robust and protective character of a Defender. Soon after purchasing my 2.2, I knew the visor had to be added.

No, you donīt hear any (additional!) wind noise from it, even in a 2.2. Because it is semi-transparent, the view up to traffic lights and such is unchanged. It works way better than the internal sunvisors in keeping the sun out of your eyes, and rain, snow and dirt off the windscreen.
It is stable and well made. But then again, it ainīt cheap!

I drilled and cut threads into the a-pillar to mount it.

I used to have an external visor on my old Series Two - and a 7.50 spare wheel on the bonnet, driving was like looking through a letterbox - and I could never see traffic lights change to green.....

However, I think they look great on a Series, not sure about a Defender. Euro-Leafing to infinity and beyond.....

You're definitely selling it to me though! Perhaps I'll get one in before the summer comes along...
