I think i had this done last week because when i got the truck back it sounded a little more rougher in the sense of the engine was louder and definitely quicker the dealer said it had the new patch i just thought they had reprogrammed the old one Q068v2 again because it was in for a new gearbox, i'm back in on Thursday i'll ask

Same sensations for mine ...

louder and more power but from 2800-3000rpm

Any truth in a rumour that LR have a further patch update to Q068v2 in the pipeline?

Now LR is on ver. 4 (Q68V4) do you mean another one?

I'm thinking that our ECU are running MS Windows......

Yeah, but our sheep are prettier than yours!!

Seriously though, does anyone have access to the GTR? I had Q068v2 patch (issued in September)downloaded on Oct 2nd. Spoke to dealer today and his computer seems to indicate that the one I have is current. Confused to say the least!

Cheers fekete. Dealer here suggested I call in next time I am in the vicinity. Apparently they need to hook up the ECU to their computer before they can confirm if there is a new patch or not.

New patch has been done today not the q068v2 the latest one, i've only drove it home 7 mile and not had it over 50 yet but in that short space i've found the engine is so much quieter and smoother to drive not as harsh as the Q068v2 NEVER TAKE LIFE SERIOUSLY. NOBODY GETS OUT ALIVE ANYWAY

I had v4 put in on Monday. Small improvement I think but anyway, who cares, the BAS upgrade is back in! Cool Boldly going nowhere

its an interesting point - how much does any remap remove these updates and/or how much of the update is affected.

Also if you have a problem when the update is applied and it cures it but you go back to another aftermarket remap - arent you loosing some of the "other" benefits. Mike

With the BAS remap, you keep two files: the original one (i.e. the one that the factory/dealer puts in) and the tuned file.
Before you go to the dealer, you put the original file back in. Later on, you put the tuned file back in. If the original file has been changed, the device does not allow you to put the tuned file back in. You have to send the new original file to BAS (Pete) for him to send you a new tuned file.
Now, I do not know if Pete takes into account the improvements to the original file to reprogram the new tuned file. Boldly going nowhere

Im aware of the reflash the original settings bit - it was more the LR updates an changes and the differences against the remap Mike
