Just collected mine today. Q062 v2 software patch has resulted in much smoother running and cruising at 80/100km/h. "Pinking"/knocking at 1500-2000RPM in lower gears much improved but not totally eliminated. Also had transfer box replaced under warranty to try and finally cure drivetrain knock/judder when coming to a halt after a longish run. Appears to be OK after 50km run but due to travel 400km in a couple of weeks so hopefully will have a result by then.

Ive been called by my landrover dealer today and they told me the software update is all well and good. They then asked if i'd like to drop it off for an hour and they will do it. obviously i took them up on the offer Thumbs Up

Its better in the midrange, im not sure if its and quieter but seems smother under acceleration.

I think its time to talk to pete @ bell auto's for a proper re-map Twisted Evil

ok it's a diesel engine, it is impossible to eliminate the knocking...... but it's possible to reduce it with the right injection sequence and/or strategy..... Discovery 5 td6 HSE Stornoway Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition

Mine went to the LR dealers here in Dubai today, I emailed the service bulletin to the service manager and they didn't even know about this service bulletin and first he told me this applies to defenders in the UK market only but after insisting to check he contacted their technical department and found out it applies for all cars between '07 to '09. Got mine back today and i have to say it seems smoother and less noisy - i can now hear more transmission noise (good or bad)

We will see how it runs. Mike

Another thing I noticed was far less soot in the tailpipe.
I wiped my exhaust outlet with a rag and she stays clean for ages. Puma 110 - gone
Series III 1973 - going strong

Software upgrade done three days ago as part of an overall 20k service - much smoother at low-mid revs. It's suddenly a better vehicle to drive.
