our contruction company has recently updated its website however we are trying to get the old website to redirect traffic to the new site, the problem is that the old hosting company - elite internet net - arent responding to any of our emails or callbacks.
is there anyway of seeing if this company is 'live' or can we redirect traffic from our old site to the new site any other way. ps please keep any answers very basic in IT tech speak [/b] |

This can be extremely tricky as the domain name registration systems are not really geared up particularly well for situations where you have an AWOL/bust/rogue hosting company.
Drop me details of the old web site via PM and I'll see what I can find out. Martin 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |

If you have access to the (html) files in te old website, you could use a meta redirect:
http://www.web-source.net/html_redirect.htm#.UR1Lq2t5mSM Cheers, Vincent 1959 Polynorm 1/4 Ton Trailer, Olive Drab Green (sold) 1970 M416 Military Trailer (Camping Trailer Conversion), Epsom Green (sold) 1975 Series III 88 V6, Light Green (sadly sold) 1996 Defender 110 CSW 300 Tdi, Epsom Green (sold) 2000 Freelander 1 TD4 3-drs, Silver (sold) 2006 Freelander 1 TD4 5-drs Facelift Automatic, Tonga Green (sold) MySite |
