i went for standard size, 235/85/16 with mud terrain (bfg km2). they are quiet, they grip brilliantly on the road, really nice and sticky and on mud/off-road they work obviously well.
I have used them now in the wet, which is real important to me here in spain and we get monsoon like rain in the winter and its deadly... these km2's stop me better than the cooper all terains i took off, which were frankly a disaster in the wet, locking up and skidding.. there is no noise that i can tell from the other tyres, and if you look at the euro ratings yo'll see they are the same dbs as other AT tyres. im very happy with them and they look pretty cool as well.. http://forum.ih8mud.com/tire-wheel-tech/17...n-km2.html btw, the physics stacks up for narrow tyres with strong side walls.. run them on lower pressure. The military & farmers all use standard size, standard size has 40 years worth of evolution... go with standard |
