I was wondering if anyone can help, i am looking for a drawbar for a Leyland Nuffield 344 tractor, ive been using the 90 for pulling the trailer around the field while it stands idle
anyone got one to swap for some beer tokens, please. |

There's bound to be some agricultural breakers somewhere local to you. Might be worth phoning or popping into your local agricultural dealers or auction site to ask where you might find one local. The drawbar would be fairly common across various manufacturers as they used the same company to provide them painted to the tractors colours so your chances of sourcing one will be easier.

Had the same issue last year, although with our Massey 134. Ended up getting one of these 3 point link bars off of ebay; about £30

Years ago when "9 pin" drawbars as shown above were more widely used, not all tractors had drawbars, a pair of stabilising bars going from the top link hole to the attachment points at the end of the lift arms would hold the drawbar at a set height(usefull when using tipping trailers) a strong chain would do the same job but be aware that the drawbar wouldn't stop the arms lifting. Just remember to put the control lever to fully lower. Also unless you had a clevis hitch on your trailer an upturned "U" bracket bolted to the bar would enable a drawbar pin to attach a more common ring hitch.

one happy bunny, found a scrapper today near scarborough had one in his shed.£20. Helpful bloke,has a few Leyland tractors in for parts,if anyone wants his number give us a poke. Nigel weighell, Sherburn near Scarborough. thanks for your help. |
