Neither am I. When you work in the industry, you realise just how over dramatic they are! Everything has to be a drama An engine to TDi for! "Land Rover- Proudly turning drivers into mechanics since 1948" |

Have watched IRT and OT, was HGV driver for 20 years driving all over Europe, did not have big rigs like them, in fact never had a sleeper cab just a day cab folding bed, but we had our moments some as bad as them, it is after all just being a truck driver, did drive a Road Train once, also Lorry and trailer, The road train was a 6 wheel lorry with a 5th wheel bogie with a 30' foot trailer on. i do not thing it would matter if you had 2,3, trailers in Australia they have bigger roads and a lot more space.
As said just drama for the cameras. Do like watching them though. Never had any wish to watch EST. Live Life Ti'l You Die Teddys are out thier http://teddybearspicnic.webs.com http://130sasha.co.uk/ |

Not really.... The Outback roads are single carriageway, not usually much (if any) wider than a typical UK single carriageway A road.... Believe me, when you pass a road train, it passes you or you pass by each other in opposite directions, there isn't much room to spare. The blast of air shakes a Defender and is very loud! Not only that but on unsealed roads you have the extra hazards of corrugations and dust..... And, if its been wet .... Mud! We used to watch IRT but the graphics and overblown drama got too annoying. Outback Truckers was a breath of fresh air in comparison and not a single "what could happen if....death and destruction" graphic in sight!
