Tuning Package Options
Ok,
I have decided to venture into modications under the bonnet, have had so much fun over the past few days in the snow i think its a keeper... Smile . Anyway i have spoken with Alive about a package including the hybrid turbo/ intercooler/ exhaust and de cat/ tuning module/ hose kit and air filter. Has anyone else got this setup on a 2.4? or who else should i consider as a supplier? Whistle
Thanks
A

I do n't think that tuning module is a word that Gary at Alive uses Very Happy However all other things will be the go. I have read that whilst sports air filters allow more airflow they do not give the same level of filtration as the standard filter, for that reason alone I would not fit one. I have spoken to a local that has a hybrid turbo and he said it does deliver what it says on the tin, however he stated that most of the gain was over 3K revs. Rarely do I go, or need to go there. Thumbs Up

without wanting to open the doors to hell and kick off a great big argument......

if you do a search for alive on here you're likely to find another tuning specialist that is held in very high regard.

I had aloof what you list but it was from BAS apart from the intercooler and hoses which I bought from alive it's your choice
It's also got to be worth seeing what the differences are in cost ?

Cheers Steve.
As I am over in NI it's a bit limited. Ideally I would drive to these places and have a good chat with the different guys but I need to rely on feedback from guys on here. Will certainly see how the costs differ but keen to get this underway. What's a realistic bhp I could see?

Forget the decat, if you want a nice note from the exhaust just fit a cat back system. Also becarefull of some aftermarket air filters, they can in SOME cases cause damage to the air flow meter.

The 2.4 it not an engine to be pushed, back in 2007 we did the original developement as seen from a link in my signature and pushing the engine to hard causes head problems amongst others.

Regards Pete

This was some testing using one of Gary's maps and one of the systems for the 110 we were playing with. Not intended to breech the commercial code on here but it's just easier than cut n' paste. The BHP and, more importantly, the torque is set out there.

What are the back pressure measurements at the turbo with the Voodoo Pegasus Exhaust System ?
