110 waggon rear door windows
Does anyone Know of a cure for the rear door windows winding themselves down on corrugated roads. My old300tdi used to do this but I thought by now it would no longer be a problem

My 2002 still does this,

I have gone for a low tech solution of attaching a lenth of elastic cord to the window winder and to the door handle. Being elasting it allows the window to be opened, but keeps the window closed the rest of the time. 2002 Defender 110 DC

As in so that the button handle thing points toward the doorcard?

Can it still be turned if necessary? 2002 Defender 110 DC

The weight of the winder knob makes the winder lower or open the window when it vibrates, re-fit the winder so the weight of the knob tries to close the window Thumbs Up

For someone whose just on the verge of ordering his first defender, somehow this topic makes me want one even more Rolling with laughter A personal quest between man, machine and dealer to see who is the most superior. Brilliant !

Oh, boy - what am i letting myself in for and will the wife ever forgive me for my sins ........

Possibly not. My wife spnds hours cleaning the red dust out of ours, some I think must be coming through the windows. Maybe fit rear power window mechs.

Andrew, I've really wanted to adjust the position of the window winder arms, but haven't had a look at screws or bolts or anything yet. Is the job a straight forward one or does it involve door card removal tools etc?
