Did a bit more dinitroling today thanks to the warm weather also re-fitted the straight through centre exhaust section and with the much quieter drive frome the transfer box change and new clutch/DMF last week, you get a lovely burble when on throttle I found a perfect fitting gasket for my windscreen washer mod that will be fitted tomorrow if it stays dry.

I have been cavity waxing this week and am now cursing the twin washer conversion. Those holes give excellent access for the top of the bulkhead. I now have to strip my dash down to gain access, unless I can find some other way to access it.
What sealing gaskets have you found? I just silicones mine in place and it has let go. Also, the jets you bought from ebay, are they the longer ones? Mine are britpart and will be too short to fit washers I think. 2002 110 td5 |

I have just had a quick look on ebay and it looks like mine are the longer ones. The shorter ones are way too short! Let me know how you get on fitting the washer 2002 110 td5

The washer jets I bought were genuine ones and when I took out one of the grommets it looked like it would fit fine. I didn't even realise there was a shorter version. As for the gasket, in my old job as a panel beater I collected lots of random parts over the years and while looking through the other day I found what looked like a defender door hinge spacer but larger and in 3mm rubber with perfect size holes for the thread on the washer jet, so I just marked around the washer jet and cut it out for a great fit. I have no idea what it was originally off but it worked for me I ve already waxed down the bulkhead but I think I'll throw a little more in before I fit the jets. Ray |

Click image to enlarge Disco 2 gearbox cover. It does quieten down a little noise and for £20ish and half an hours work I think it was worth it. Last edited by mk1collector on 10th Sep 2017 10:25pm. Edited 1 time in total |

at least one person reads it the photobucket app is playing up so I can only post one pic every 5 mins when the app resets itself for some reason. Here's a pic fitted before I refitted the air box .
