It's just you. I collect parcels all the time for my partner from our regional Royal Mail Sorting Office and naturally we don't even have the same surname simply on the production of my diriving licence..may be local policy in your area perhaps?
Or...... 'Double Standards' and regional 'Jobs Worths.' If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

The PO round here can't really be bothered to sort the post for the Industrial Estate so we seem to get anybody's and everybody's post And the Royal Mail sorting office is on the same Industrial Estate ! An engine to TDi for!

Could be worse!
Some time go I had the same thing, parcel was addressed to me, deiivery card had my name on it, but I forgot my ID. Now for this parcel an ID was not required, only the delivery card. But the girl at the office insisted an ID (office policy sir).... and ..... I knew this girl... She lived 5 houses from us.... And when she was a little girl, we used to baby sit her.... Anyone notice as well that of recent there is a surcharge for sending mail using the Post Office. I swear I read that somewhere... No Guts, No Glory.

We send between 2-500 parcels a day, when people aren't in, they'll leave parcels in people's bins So think yourself lucky it's at the delivery office!!

You're lucky to get a card left!
On many occasions parcels I sent haven't turned up, no card left. Customer instructed to check with sorting office and voila' parcel awaiting collection. Having said that in 8 years or so of sending parcels only a handful have ever been 'lost', far less than I have mislabelled or sent to the wrong customer by mistake Frustrating none the less when you get the wrong end of it.
