Fitting a tow bar.....
....should be the easiest thing in the world, but.....

Should the holes in the brackets either side of the fuel tank be threaded - or do I need to tap them out?

The inside of the small hole in the photo is not threaded? I would have thought it should be, as the instructions I downloaded from the tinternet specify an M12x34mm bolt to use here? so that I can fit the arms as shown below

Any ideas please Bow down Euro-Leafing to infinity and beyond.....

Mine are not threaded. My bolts pass through hole and have washer and nut on the back.

Mine is a Td5 90.

OK - thanks. As I said the fitting guide (which appears to be genuine Land Rover) which I downloaded specifies an M12/35mm bolt - which won't fit through that hole size as it stands, and also makes no mention of nuts and washers either? Euro-Leafing to infinity and beyond.....
