Check and see if the alarm goes off when you open the doors. It's the alarm module which controls the lights coming on with the doors.

I don't know where it is on a Puma but can't hurt to check the old place.

A couple of things spring to mind, is the switch actually making contact with the strip in the housing when placed to on? Also the 10AS can be a bit temperamental so if the fobs batteries are OK do a Hard reset, disconnect the earth from the battery then press the brake pedal a few times to dissipate any stored capacitance. After 10 mins reconnect and see if anything has changed. The radio code should still be pre-set in the radio but if it is an aftermarket radio you may need the radio code.

fob battery low? from the User Manual: When the battery needs replacing, it will be apparent from the following symptoms: • The remote control will only work every other operation when unlocking. • The hazard warning lamps will not flash when the alarm is disarmed. Hope it’s the fob battery, as the AS10 is a b*gger to get to. It’s behind the speedo console, tucked away. I think it’s the first thing they fit and then put the rest of the car around it.
