Anroid tablets...Bluetooth / GPS
I am thinking of a 7 or 8" tablet for in the car to OS maps on. That's the easy bit. The hard bit is...I need either GPS or Bluetooth on the tablet. As its going to be going in the car and attached to the dashboard some how, I don't want a expensive one just in case it gets damaged, So looking at cheaper ones.

Is there a USB GPS dongle available for Android tablet? or is there a chance I can get a Bluetooth adapter to connect via bluetooth from my phone and send the GPS co-ords from my phone to the tablet? 1999 Defender TD5 110

Don't know about sending GPS data from a phone, but quite a few options for Bluetooth GPS devices (example here) that you could hook up to a tablet. Seem to be in the £40-£50 range. Otherwise, your average tablet with a 3G connection in it usually has WiFi-assisted GPS built in.

Nexus 7 starting at about £150 has GPS built in even for the wifi versions so it would work with something like memory map without a data connection needed.

Thanks
