Starting issues
Random starting issues
Happened once before, a few weeks ago.
And twice tonight. Done nearly 300 miles today, 50 green laning, fantastic time. All trouble free.
But once home this evening I went back out after a hour or so.
Temp gauges goes straight to the top. And it won't start, if I open the area under the seat and wiggle the 3rd relay Bach (nearest the cubby box)
It seems to start.
I'm guessing a loose wire.
Previous owner, said it happened to him when the cab was hot, he said landrover recovery guy told him it was a common fault!
Anyone had experience of the this?
I'll look for bad connections etc tomorrow (Monday) its only a car!

Im sure someone much more knowledgeable will be along soon, but If its the relay connections, I had a similar problem with my windscreen wipers relay connection (worked after wobbling it a bit).
Sorted it by slightly bending the relay pins inward.

May help a bit, just make sure you don't snap them off Rolling Eyes

ECU relay comes loose and leads to this.

Happened to both of my TD5s, I thought this had been solved in the Puma but apparently not...

On my TD5 I replaced the relay but it made no difference, in the end I wrapped a cable tie around the relay and the socket so it kept the relay pressed into the socket and never had the problem again.

I don't know why it happens specifically with this relay and socket, maybe the relay used has thinner legs or the gaps in the socket are set slightly to wide but it is common and something to hold the relay down should sort it.
