Loading a standard 110 map on a 90
Hi guys,

Much as i know about how the Td5 tick and how the 10AS clicks, i've always been tempted to load a 110 map on a 90.

How do I do it? I'm not talking about trying to copy a re-mapped truck's ecu, but load the standard map of a 110.
Is it the case of just generating it from the application and loading it on the ECU via the write map function in the nanocom.

Can I possibly load the wrong map and brick my 90? If the wrong map is loading what will happen? I don't have a spare ECU to try it out, and the truck's a daily drive.

it's an 02 and has the NNN ecu.

Thanks! From the land of the most expensive land rover defenders on planet earth. At 125k for a XS 110 csw and you get to own it only for 10yrs! Please find me a good reason to stay on this island.

There are different maps for 90,110 and 130. From talking to a tuner (who never answers his customers calls/emails/texts etc so doesn't need the business Whistle ) he said that he does/used to base his maps on the 110 tune as it had a better torque curve.

How true this is I don't know. but from your original question, yes, just create the map on nanocom function and load it up.

Take a copy of the original map first and save it on the nanocom, **just in case** Thumbs Up

Hi Jim,

Are you talking about IRB Developments? if yes then you are not alone!!

I have spent about £1500 on parts from him, now I want a remap he cannot be bothered with me.

I think the forums have been very kind to him, for how long I wonder..

Bell Auto Spares on the other hand are the complete opposite, I spoke to them at the Overland Travel Show in September. He wanted to do it there and then Very Happy sadly I hadn't enough money at the time Sad

But will definitely use B.A.S when the time comes.

Regards,

Steve

I'm impressed about the Td5 open maps project. Never heard of that before.

I read somewhere that the Discovery 2 map was better and that the discovery 2 auto map had much more torque, however that one might have other issues that dont suit a normal gearbox DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy
