Can you go old school and buy an exhaust repair thingy from Halfords along with a tin of Dum Dum.
When i was started driving we would use an old Coke tin, exhaust paste and jubilee clips. Then worried about swapping the section over, normally as a summer job. |

Look at 8.1 As long as it is still secure and not deemed excessively noisy, it shouldn't fail. If you're replacing it though, why not use repair paste or a bandage just to get through the MOT with no doubts. |

tube of exhaust paste from local kwik fit type place or screwfix etc will work as a temp repair.
as long as it aint blowing you should be fine. even if you left the replacement exhaust in the car if it arrives and you cant get it fitted at least the tester knows your gonna fix it |

Not according to the MOT testers' manual it isn't. Only a serious leak that affects either emissions or noise. I've already posted 1 link , here is another: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/mot-inspection...tion-6-1-2 |
