A Defender in 1964? Surely not...
Here's a strange one. I came across this photo the other day, taken on the M1 in 1964. I was particularly interested in the Aston Martin DB5 thundering down the outside lane but then noticed what appears to be a Landie in the top LH corner.

Not just a 1964 Landie but it looks to me like a silver TD5! Anyone else concur?

Close inspection shows the angle of the windscreen is not right, so it is not a Landie... Cheers, Vincent

That was my though too. It'll be a van or large estate car. Darren

I reckon it could be a Vauxhall HA Viva van (introduced 1963) or possibly a Hillman Husky van (the "Imp" derivative rather than the Audax). These didn't appear until 1967 however so it is less likely if the date quopted is correct.

I doubt that it was silver in '66 but it could be a very shiney grey perhaps?

Silver cars are a "recent" thing? You learn something new every day Thumbs Up Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...
