Will it fit in a Puma tray - Odyssey PC1500?
As title - can I straight swap an Odyssey PC1500 with the OEM Puma 2.4 battery without any modifications?

Did a search but couldn't quite get the specific answer.
Would be great if someone has done it Smile

I would go and measure but it's -5 and dark outside and I've only just got warm Whistle

Thanks

Have only taken out existing one and replaced with twin 1500.

1500 size is W 275.6 x D 171.7 x H 198.6 mm

I think it will probably be a straight swap but can not guarantee it. I seem to think that the red plastic cover over the positive terminal lead needs trimming.

Yes Thumbs Up

I have the 1500DT (double terminal version) and it fits the Puma and TD5.

As Brendan said, you may need to trim the red + cover a bit.

A couple of general tips.

If the positive terminals are not covered by a plastic cover, consider fitting one, use a piece of rubber over uncovered positive terminals or use insulating tape on underside of battery box lid.

If using crocodile clips to jump start a vehicle use fully insulated clips, otherwise you might see some rather big sparks.

Good advice and something I often forget Embarassed
I know all about sparks - before we got the speed controller for the go-kart:

we tested the motor a bit by earthing the battery on the plate:

It was then I realised you could weld aluminium
