Apologies - went with the TD5 Forum, probably should be under Tyres and Wheels!

A 265/70 x 16 will fit on a Boost rim with no problem. The tyre section will be about 13mm less height-wise than the 265/75.

I have 265/70 profile AT tyres (not BFG though) on my steel modulars, which are the same 7Jx16 as Boosts I believe. Not had any problems with compatibility, either on or off road. In fact on road manners are pretty good.
Looking forward to seeing photos of your new car! |

265/75's are closer to the original figment 235/85's
The 265/70's will make the speedo read 3% different but I wouldn't be bothered about that too much, it's 1 mph slower at 30mph.... Use this tool to see different sizes.... https://www.4x4tyres.co.uk/4x4_tyre_size_t...kbnrukc7k6 Try the Coopers and see how you go, if you no likey then swap |

I ran that size STTs for a few years on boosts - no problems at all. Have now swapped to ST MAXX (same size, same rim). The STTs were a bit noisier than the (less aggressive) ST MAXX's but not massively so (in a Defender )
Like Lambley says - suck 'em and see I do have spacers on now, but just to get a wee bit of lock back. Ran them for a couple of years without. Tony |

Thanks for the prompt replies. Running them to see how they go is the most likely as any money will be needed elsewhere! It was just a thought while I'm wating for the other one to sell onto which I put the BFGs only 200 miles ago when I was trying to ignore the pull back to a Defender!
Cheers. Looking at options to collect it around work but will get some images up when I can! |
