Ok . Just to clear up the previous questions on the 2.2 exhaust and to repeat what I mentioned before .
Take off the large mid box And little end silencer box. There is NO sound difference , YES there is a little performance differance HOWEVER .. When the DPF does a regen and burn ( every 400 miles for me ) the exhaust then effectively becomes straight through with no restrictions . You will THEN get that lovely engine burble noise your looking for . As Pete mentioned - DO NOT bother with taking off the DPF as its Major surgery for no gain . 3 yrs mines been off . |

Slightly apologies......
Touching on the 2.4 decat removal/exhaust enhancement IMHO and experience 'decatting' is the cheapest noticeable performance enhancement you can make. It allows the turbo to spool up a damn sight quicker and the engine to breathe a hell of a lot easier instead of being strangulated. Just as an addition I binned the rear-box and changed the centre-box for a straight through smaller silencer. It was an entire system swap out. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |
