More Husky questions...
OK... got another....

I have a thick (10mm or so?) Dyneema plasma rope on my Husky

What is the preferred method of securing the end onto the drum? It's too large to fit through the (steel cable) securing hole, and the grub screw wouldn't do much good anyway.

At the moment I just bodged it with some gaffer tape to hold the end in place whilst I wound the rest of the rope onto the drum. but this obviously won't work very well when a lot of the rope gets spooled out.

I was thinking of something like a clove hitch knot to hold the end in place???

David bower just cuts some of the strands away to make it thinner, then wraps it with insulation tape, and the through the hole with the grub screws. It's not taking any strain, that how a warn can manage with the silly little bolt you always drop. Then use one of those line keepers to stop you unwinding beyond the last five wraps, or cable ties, like I do.
