How Many Late Defender HCPU's were made?
Not my area of expertise, so I was just wondering.

Casual observation says not many but I could be wrong.

What's the consensus?

I'm not into Pumas but I find this one strangely attractive! Shocked

I agree with you Slidey, I have always thought that the HCPU was a very well-proportioned and good looking vehicle. It also reminds me very much of the 107" and 109" S1 pick-ups, which I also like greatly. It really is a throw-back to the original purpose of the Land-Rover.

It's not clear if that one you link to has VAT on top of the price or not, but if not that seems a fairly good price. It is only a stone's throw away from me and I am almost tempted to go take a look.

Totally agree HiCaps are a great tool. I had an S reg 300Tdi several years ago, it was without doubt one of the most useful vehicles I have owned. I had it for about 3 years and then traded it for a 110SW, the dealer gave me a good price without looking at it, said he could sell them all day long.

If they have a downside it’s the lack of seat adjustment, they are quite an upright sitting position. I seem to remember that Foleys did an extended cab version which looked really good IMO.

There are quite a few about the trick is to find one that hasn’t been worked to death. I saw a couple a while ago from the Royal Estates in Keswick Green, looked in great condition and the right colour too Thumbs Up
