60k is low for a clutch, mine only started making sound at 75000 and is still going strong now 10000km (with a big part of off roading and trailering in it) later. I have an AP replacement ready (paddocks) for when it disintegrates and did not find other aftermarket suppliers with a replacement. |

The clutch is fine at the moment and have had no problems at all, but i was thinking that while the gearbox is out i might as well change the clutch as well, it could well go on for another 60k km but might explode in 10k km and then i'd be really pee'd of having to pay to have the gearbox back out.
Thanks for the AP recommend, i'll have a look at it. Regards, Mark |

Replaced mine with AP clutch and Land Rover master cylinder at 38 000 miles. Been great since, no problems at all.

I would say you're lucky, my clutch was replaced at 33,000km and I know quite a few ppl who've had theirs replaced way before 50,000km -- 2010 Defender Puma 90 + BAS remap + Alive IC + Slickshift + Ashcroft ATB rear 2015 Range Rover Sport V8 Supercharged Defender Puma Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zZ1en9 Discovery 4 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zXrtKO Range Rover/Sport L320/L322/L494 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zc58JQ |

I may have been lucky, when I looked under the bonnet of my 110 (after picking it up new from dealers) in April 2010 and there was a piece of A4 paper stuffed into the underside of the bonnet with "NO CLUTCH" printed on it - so my guess is it failed the factory test and was fixed properly. so far 16,000kms and no problems.
if you are having the gearbox out, and thinking of putting a new clutch in, what about a new rear oil seal ? - the list goes on. |
