Devon 4x4 make a filter that attaches to the wingtop. I have one on mine and it works very well in the desert here.

the wingtop filter http://www.devon4x4.com/index.php?page=sho...;Itemid=14 - £75 seems alot for what it is ...
also have a think about fitting the 2011 door rubbers, running tape around the rear tub seals. check inside your battery box for breathers, these can be taped up. How about a centrifugal dust filters that will fit on the top of the RAI http://aliensnorkels.co.uk/9.html |

I'm not sure how a centrifugal air filter on top of the RAI will help keep the dust out of the cabin? They really are worth £75 when you get out of the car at the end of the day without your lungs being full of dust.

The D44 filter is for the cabin fan and that will work. How will a RAI filter help that only feeds the engine with air not the cabin.. Play Stupid Games, Win Stupid Prizes.

If I were to be travelling through dusty environments, a centrifugal cap on the RAI would be top of my list - agred it won't stop dust entering the cabin

Thanks for the lead on the wing top unit.
For those of you concerned about filtering the engine i have a Safari snorkel which will likely be rear facing and I've also bought a Terrafirma filter to go on the snorkel entrance......not sure how effective this will be...it is a £10 experiment. |

does anyone know if those cyclonic filter head thingies fit onto a Safari Snorkel?
And whether they don't bash the A-pillar? |
