Hi all.
Was thinking of going to look at this tomorrow, but am not sure as I didn't think any TDCi had 9 seats. Probably just me getting my facts wrong. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/140876539927?ssP...1423.l2649 From the questions it looks like I'm not the only one to query it. Nasher. |

Yep, I saw the 2.5 TDi reference too, but put that down to stupidity.
But surely nobody can mistake two forward facing seats for four inward facing seats, unless it is a TD5 after all. I've asked if I can view it, so we'll see what happens. Might finaly swap the D3 for a Puma, then just need to save up for the 3.2 conversion . Nasher. |

Careful study of the magnified side view does not show the forward facing seats in the rear, either in the unfolded or folded position. Could have Td5 rear side seats fitted which would be outside build spec and impossible to get insurance on. Fine if used ONLY on private land but NOT on public roads.

I've been in touch with them now, they are insisting it's a 2.4TDCi, and that it came new with 9 seats.
It will be worth viewing it just to confirm what it is. The one interior shot does show the gear levers 'a la' TDCi. Nasher. |

Strange. Did they tell you how the seats are configured? The only other option is that it has 2 long benches down either side in the boot, as a 300 Tdi CSW would have had, but that would be none-approved as well, as Welsh Gas says. It's an odd one! Be interesting to finally find out what it does have! 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green

They've not mentioned the configuration, and I think are getting a little peeved at my questions judging by their answers getting shorter and shorter.
Annoyingly it will be much later in the week before I can get over to have a look, so if anyone wants to beat me to it please feel free. Nasher. |

Or a converetd USW,might be a good idea and get the reg number and confirm with your local main dealer exactly what it is before making a journey.A converted USW will not have the same value as a genuine CSW. 2005 Td5 90 XS

Might not mean much but typed the reg no into moneysupermarket for insurance and reg not recognised. If it had recognised the reg it would have listed number of seats and details of vehicle. 2007 TD5 90 Hard Top

There's a picture showing the load bay now, without any seats in it at all. I think they're mistaking the carpeted wheel boxes for bench seats. Darren

Well spotted. Looks like a 5 seat to me from the pictures now. I'd have at least thought they'd have gave it a clean up though before taking pictures. Play Stupid Games, Win Stupid Prizes.

Correct, I went on the site a few hours ago, said I was interested, and asked the seller to add a picture of the load bay with the 4 extra seats.... Now we see the result. It is a 5 seat Puma in reality and guess the seller thinks that left and right those are two benches for 2 people each You never actually own a Defender. Here is copy of the sellers response to my question for the picture. He surely is no car buff...
Dear ericvv, Richard is no car buff, he's given me a picture of the cargo area but I'm having trouble attaching it to this reply, any ideas? - carolecurtis1960 QQ You never actually own a Defender.
