I would start diagnostics with changing oil on the boxes and diffs. It could be that they are empty, the oil is knackered, or you may find bits of debris, that indicate that you have an issue.

Check the idler/tensioner pulleys on the alternator belt.

We had something similar on our Puma. Sounded like the gearbox was about to disintegrate. Happened after we put a lift on the vehicle. Double cardan prop solved it. Might be worth checking prop UJs as they’re easy to look at and cheap to fix. Charlie
