Where should i look? I just took delivery and was driving back, and in the middle of the highway it stuttered and went into limp mode.
Now everytime i start the engine light is still on and i can barely drive up to 50kmh max. I called the dealer and they said could be the DPF but really need to check after tow in the next day |

If I was you and just took delivery I would be handing back the keys and asking for another one.
Not sure why this is somethiong you should have to worry about. |

When I picked up my first puma up in 07 I drove it out the dealers and got 2 miles before the light on the dash came on. Drove it straight back and they kept it for a day or so until the problem was sorted. I think from memory that it was the two front brake sensors we goosed.

Looking from the front there are two hoses coming from the intercooled - the intercooled is in front of the radiator.
Check the hoses are on the intercooler and the hose clamps done up correctly especially the one on the left. This one is difficult to get to and tends to not have the hose clamp done up properly. Then check all the hoses attached to the turbo. Hi, I just Check all the fluid levels. Looks ok. The engine oil is almost clear yellow, that is correct? My oil diesel is deep brown. Lemon return is not so easy here. The vehicle is special indent and is the first registered in the whole country, they don't have another unit to exchange, it took them 8 months to bring in from UK.
The host to and from radiator looks ok. I am still trying to see where the turbo is. There is too much stuff in this engine I can't see it yet. What are the other usual suspects? Dpf got a warning light by itself so should not be the issue right? |

Don't check the radiator check the Intercooler - it is in front of the radiator and looks like a second radiator.
The turbo is on the right looking from the front. Bob 2015 Jaguar XE240 R Sport - goes like ....... !! 2013 Defender 90 CSW - sold 2009 Defender 110 Double Cab - sold 2001 TD5 90 CSW - offroad project - sold to a forum member 2011 Porsche Boxster - for the sunny days ! |

Probably, just took it yesterday from dealer, probably standing in showroom at least month or 2 plus freight time, could be 6 months if that is considered long,... |

EGR valve? Happened to me with similar symptoms. Engine light on, limp mode.... You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

Initial diag is that the dPF is not activated, and it needs to be done by software. All these are probably done at the dealer, but our dealer here aint familiar with that nor have the tools to do it...
