My gut feel is that prices on new/nearly new are at a premium right now because of the end of production.
I also think a few will have been bought on impulse as a result of the end of production hype by folks who will probably discover they can't live with a Landie as their main transport and will want out. So my own view is that prices on nearly new models will fall later in the year. As yours is a little older, I also think it's value will fall less over the next 6 months than a nearly new one. So I would sit tight and wait. Then again I could be proved wrong. |

If you haven't had any major problems with yours I would keep it and use the cash for upgrades and modifications

Yep. What exacly make you want to buy a new one now? I dont know the mileage on your old one, but isn't it in its best shape right now with all warranty repairs done ans ready to be reliable for years to come?

yep, I take you point on keeping the one I have, its done 55k, I just fancy a new one, never had a brand new car, although it looks like the offer I had was a dead end, I've only found one brand new unregistered one so far and its out of my league, I mean I have no issue with keeping what I have, its in great shape, mint even, its just an itch I thought about scratching

It would be nice to think that the quality control on the last ones was spot on but I'd suggest you'd still be taking a gamble on getting a good one. Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades. Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW. [Insert something impressive here such as extensive list of previous Land Rovers or examples of your prestigeous and expensive items, trinkets, houses, bikes, vehicles etc] http://forums.lr4x4.com I used to be Miserable ...but now I'm ecstatic. |

There seems to be a couple of 90's available at PENTLAND CUPAR (FIFE), a white SW of some sort and a red/black SW. Both are on the grass bank outside, there may be more but I didn't see them as I passed yesterday.

You only had 68 years to buy one after all
I'd be very surprised if there were any new ones left, I thought all the stock was allocated long before production ended? |
