Does anyone know if theres some sort of database that you can get your number removed from? I keep on getting cold calls from someone asking for a 'Mr Wisedale'... No idea who this chappy is but he's obviously given a random number out to someone, which just happens to be my mobile number. Despite repeatedly telling them to stop ringing me as they have the wrong person they won't stop! Drives me insane!!!

People have had success registering with TPS:
http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/index.html
In the original BBC News report:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-20068927
The guy had also registered with them, which is why his case was so strong Thumbs Up Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...

I've already registered my number with them. Since I did though the calls for PPI claims have stopped. Still get the odd text from them though...

Once I get a landline sorted at the new house no one is getting my number! Evil or Very Mad

When we first moved to Germany in 1994, I made the fatal mistake of giving Telekom my home number and address for the telephone directory. Even though there were no "cold-call online databases" then, I kept getting phone calls from local old people in the middle of the night wanting medical attention ("Dr" title) Sad

When we moved address (and number) 2 years later, I eventually convinced Telekom not print it - still took a lot of work though Rolling Eyes Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
