Put it through a carwash or knock it off with a jetwash soaping broom! No help I know sorry. The Puma one just pulls off. I ended up sealing mine on with Sikaflex.
Sure someone with a TD5 will advise.... EDIT***This may help perhaps?

Thanks for the link to the other post, i will try and get access through the ash tray , failing that it looks like i will have to remove the dash.

If you just want to remove the jets, the outer part is a push fit. I know because when it freezes, mine gets pushed off.
If you need to take the whole thing off, then you'll need to go in via the ashtray or dash off. Mine's a 2001 TD5. Cheers Simon |

Yes, mine cracked off with wash brush. Was devastated thinking it was dash out, but when I started to take the nozzle off I realised that it was push on as said earlier. Phew!!! 03 td5 btw.

I did away with the jetwash nozle and put a T piece in and run two lengths of 4mm hose to each wiper arm , i then used some jets off a peugoet 405 as these go all the way up the wiper arm with 4 little jets on each arm , so much better than the old system.

I have considered that approach a few times. But I was concerned about the hose flexing and cracking eventually. Does that happen? Also about it looking a bit untidy. Yes I know it's a LR!! I elected to be a bit easier with the wash brush.

I only did the mod at the weekend so cant comment on the cracking . Flexing does not seem to be a problem yet, does not look too untidy , to me anyway. I got the idea from this website www.Reedx.net then click on landrover, then modifications and then windscreen wipers.

I'm trying the same mod - hoping it will work even better with the HeatShock system I installed.
I ordered these: http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/ABD-18-Ca...Blade.html and am hoping I can modify/cannibalise them. Just to confirm - if I pull off the big lump of plastic with the double nozzle in it (Puma) to fit a hose/T-joint, will I be able to refit it easily or will the assembly just disappear inside the dash? Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

Errrrrrrm................I think the stub remains solid when you take off the nozzle. There is a securing nut on outside as I remember. I bought the whole part and was left with the main bit. The nozzle part has an 'o' ring to seal against the stub.

To remove the stub there is a brass nut on the inside of the dash to get to this you have to remove the top of the dash to get to it , or if you have very small hands you could remove the ash tray to get to it. I removed the dash on mine to get to it and removed the stub. I then put a T joint in and fed the two hoses back through the two blank holes on the bulk head with the rubber grommets next to the wiper arms . i then blanked the old hole up with a grommet.

But that sounds like you only need to get in the dash if you do the "smart" version with the T hidden and the hoses coming through the existing holes. I don't care and am happy for the T to come off the water outlet where the existing jets are. Could also put it back to standard in a jiffy.
Now I'm a bit confused - is it possible to just pull the plastic lump off the outside and stick a hose on the stub? Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

My car is 'in the hospital' at the moment so can't go have a look. Which ever side the retaining nut is on I see no reason why you can not do as you say. The stub is not going to disappear into bulkhead whatever. Dunks' solution would be neater though. IMO.
