I was quite into this as I'm in the market for another project 50th/heritage/tomb raider. As far as tomb raider 110 s go you won't find even a rough one under 10k but I've contacted the seller through eBay and the reply was Rolling with laughter :-

ROAD TAX: 01/2013

This is a TOMB RAIDER Limited Edition.. Let me know if there is anything else you would like to know about it!

The buy it now price is £6,200. I didn't list it as an auction because I'm looking for a quick sale and not to obtain a better price, so first come first served...

What is your email address? I want to send you more photos and I can't through eBay ... I want you to be 100% sure that you want to buy it before we continue . Also I would like you to know that I won't deal outside eBay, I would prefer to use their services in this sale!

Cheers

IMHO it's another Nigerian scam or equivalent I would push it a little more but don't want to give them my email ad.

One for party monkey Whistle sad fact is it will be someone's tomb raider and someone may get scammed.

I like melrabell's other item for sale , a nice pair of red wedges. Class.
Interestingly the location is different for the shoes and the TR , not in itself a problem but .......

I spotted this very motor on auto trader about 2 weeks ago. Was only a few miles away from me(close to Glasgow) and was listed for 10k.

I reckon they're simply using someone else's pictures, hoping they sell through eBay and doing a runner with any deposit they get.

Glad I came across this thread as I nearly fell for it. I got as far as sending them my address and mobile telephone number but started getting suspicious when the number given for contact is not recognised. Now I am worried that he/they have my address, my mobile number and my E bay ID. Do you think that I should be worried? Big Cry
Just to stop anyone else getting done by this scam, here is what I was sent

Hi again,

As promised, I've attached more photos of the car to this email. Hope they help you decide if this is what you are looking for. Before we continue I would like to tell you that I am not in UK, I got a job transfer last month and had to relocate to France.

This sale was not on my TO DO list so I left the car back in Glasgow. I will get somebody to bring it to you if you decide to buy it. My friend will be traveling from a distance (Norwich) so I must be sure and not put him on the road based just on words.. I will pay the delivery costs so don't worry about them !

Like I already said, I will only sell my car through eBay ( BUY IT NOW PRICE - £ 6,200)
I agreed with eBay return policy. You can read more about it by clicking below:

http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/buy/contextual/return-policy.html

PLEASE READ HOW THE EBAY TRANSACTION WILL HAPPEN:

To start the selling procedure, you must send me your eBay ID. I will list the car on eBay as a Private, Buy it now auction just for you. You will receive the transaction confirmation invoice where you will find all the details regarding the sale. The money will be sent through bank transfer. I agreed for a 7 working days inspection period ( after the date of receipt of the car ). This means that you have 7 days to inspect the car for any damages and decide if you want to keep it or not! Because I will sign eBay's return policy, your money will be insured by them and you will have the option to reject the deal. If this is the case, you will receive a full refund (money back) and I will have to take the car back on my cost!

If you agree with my terms, please send me the following:
1. your eBay ID ;
2. your full name and address ( city and zip code where you want to receive the car ). My friend will put your address in his GPS and call you as soon as he is in your vicinity;
3. Phone # ;

If you will decide to not go through is not a problem I still quite have a few more offers from potential buyers.

You can call me on my phone # 0703 182 6574. If you do not want to proceed then no problem as I do understand. I can assure however that there is nothing wrong with the car .

Cheers,
Matt

Thanks all for any info you might have to put my mind at ease.
