United Kingdom 2010 Defender 130 Puma 2.4 HCPU Zermatt Silver
Macclesfield Warning from Cheshire Police Website
15 Oct 2012
Macclesfield Police are asking Land Rover owners to be vigilant after a spate of thefts across Macclesfield.
This month three Land Rovers were targeted in Adlington, Newton and Pott Shrigley. The vehicles themselves weren′t stolen, but parts were taken from them.
While the thefts are being investigated, police are urging people to take basic crime prevention steps.
Sergeant Simon Mills said:
We would urge those with Land Rovers to keep their vehicles behind locked farm gates at night. Security lights and CCTV is also advisable to provide a deterrent to would-be thieves.
Anyone who spots suspicious activity should contact police.
Those tempted to buy nearly new Land Rover parts at knock down prices should be wary, especially if it′s on a ‘no questions asked′ basis. Simply refusing to buy the parts will help to reduce demand, and in turn, thefts.
- Sergeant Simon Mills, Macclesfield NPU
Anyone with information should contact Sergeant Simon Mills on 101.
Information can also be given anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. 130 Puma HCPU with an Artica 240LR Demountable Camper
